Snow...bountiful snow. It doesn't seem to stop falling this time of the year. I love the snow because it makes everything even more beautiful. Its very transformative. Making everything crisp and clear. Making the sun burst off the ground and dance all over the trees. The only bad part is the slush and yuck that builds up on the sides of the road, shoveling (poor Justin) and the fact that for snow to linger it has to stay pretty cold. I like that it symbolizes another change. This is Justin and I first holidays together. We will spend them with my side of the family this year. We will be at my mothers, eating tamales, and watching all the kids open up the presents. We will be thinking of everyone in Virginia, reflecting on how much has changed in our lives since Justin and I have met. And hoping that next year we will be there celebrating with you.
